Immigration Psychological Evaluations for Your Clients

At Rivera Immigration and Psychological Services, we provide comprehensive psychological evaluations for individuals and families involved in immigration matters. Our evaluations are designed to support attorneys with clear, clinically grounded documentation that explains the emotional, psychological, relational, and functional impact of their client’s circumstances.

We understand that immigration cases often involve deeply personal histories, trauma, family separation, fear of removal, hardship, abuse, persecution, or significant emotional distress. Our role is to provide a thorough clinical assessment that helps clarify the psychological impact of these experiences in a way that is professional, compassionate, and useful for legal advocacy.

A Trusted Clinical Partner for Immigration Attorneys

Rivera Immigration and Psychological Services was founded by Rebecca Rivera, LMFT, formerly Rebecca Parkey, after the sale of her previous company, Las Vegas Mental Health and TMS Center, formerly The Parkey Group. Rebecca now focuses her solo practice on immigration evaluations, therapy, coaching, and professional trainings.

With extensive experience as a licensed clinician, behavioral health business owner, trauma-informed therapist, and clinical evaluator, Rebecca brings both clinical depth and practical understanding to immigration-related psychological evaluations. Each evaluation is handled with care, cultural sensitivity, and attention to the legal purpose of the referral.

Our goal is to make the evaluation process easier for both attorneys and clients by providing timely communication, organized documentation, and evaluations that clearly explain the clinical issues relevant to the case.

Appointment Format

Evaluations are typically completed through secure video appointments, allowing clients to participate from the comfort and privacy of their own space.

In-person appointments are available upon request at the Sahara location until further notice.

Attorney Referral Process

We aim to make the referral process simple and efficient.

Step 1: Submit a Referral

Attorneys may refer a client by contacting Rivera Immigration and Psychological Services directly. Please include the client’s name, contact information, case type, preferred language if applicable, and any important deadlines.

Step 2: Client Scheduling

Once the referral is received, the client will be contacted to schedule their evaluation appointment. Most evaluations are completed through video appointments unless the client requests to meet in person.

Step 3: Document Review

Attorneys or clients may provide relevant documents for review prior to the evaluation. Helpful documents may include declarations, personal statements, police reports, medical records, prior mental health records, immigration notices, country condition information, or attorney summaries.

Step 4: Clinical Evaluation

The client will participate in a detailed clinical interview. Depending on the case type, the evaluation may address trauma history, family hardship, mental health symptoms, daily functioning, relationship dynamics, safety concerns, or the psychological impact of possible separation or removal.

Step 5: Written Report

After the evaluation and document review are complete, a written psychological evaluation report will be prepared. The report is designed to be clinically thorough, organized, and useful for immigration-related legal matters.

Why Work With Rivera Immigration and Psychological Services?

Immigration evaluations require more than a basic mental health assessment. They require an understanding of trauma, family systems, emotional functioning, cultural context, and the ways immigration uncertainty can affect a person’s psychological well-being.

Rebecca Rivera, LMFT brings years of clinical, leadership, and trauma-informed experience to each evaluation. Her background includes working with individuals, couples, families, adolescents, trauma survivors, and clients facing complex life stressors. She has also built and operated a successful behavioral health practice, giving her a strong understanding of clinical documentation, ethical care, and professional collaboration.

At Rivera Immigration and Psychological Services, each client is treated as a person first — not just a case file. Our evaluations are designed to help attorneys present the human impact behind the legal facts.
